Sangamon Cutaway Series
The Sangamon River flows through central Illinois near the place where I had my first workshop. Both visually and acoustically appealing, these instruments project a powerful voice with great balance and tonal complexity. The exceptionally deep sides increase the instrument’s physical volume and change the timbre to give a full, well rounded tone with excellent sustain while maintaining the fine articulation that defines each note.
A Levinson Exclusive: This deep body concert guitar with a venetian cutaway employs all to the True Tone technology – table voicing, scalloped bracing and the Levinson Radial Projection Bridge for tone, balance and articulation – coupled with excellent access to the upper registers. The clarity and even, balanced volume and transparency across all playing positions allows the player to be in control of the sound and volume whether playing delicately or really “digging in.”
