Sangamon River Series
The Sangamon River flows through central Illinois near the place where I had my first workshop. Both visually and acoustically appealing, these instruments project a powerful voice with great balance and tonal complexity. The exceptionally deep sides increase the instrument’s physical volume and change the timbre to give a full, well rounded tone with excellent sustain while maintaining the fine articulation that defines each note.
When you combine a voiced Engelmann top with aged English walnut something magical happens. The guitar is exceptionally light – it almost floats. English walnut exudes an incredible warmth of color – both visually and acoustically. The LS-58 reacts so fast you will think it senses what you want to play. The Sangamon 24.75” scale adds to this sensation. Flute-like treble, balanced midrange and warm bass response give this instrument a unique timbre. True Tone – the music of build integrity and wonderful natural materials.
