Medina River Series
The Medina River runs near San Antonio, Texas in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Its shores are known for lush vegetation and abundant wildlife. The Levinson Medina brings you lush warm tones and abundant volume with a percussive sound and controlled bass response resulting from the 24.75 inch (628 mm) scale length and the round-shoulder body design. A perfect pleasure to play – straight from the heart.
Simplistic harmony sets the Medina apart from other slope shoulder dreadnoughts. The Medina is warmer and fatter sounding than conventional dreadnoughts. The 24 3/4 “ scale reacts quickly and smoothly to fingerstyle techniques with a percussive attack and excellent sustain, enhanced by the light, voiced Engelmann spruce top. The rosewood back and sides give the instrument a unique power of projection while retaining excellent tonal balance.
